Illustrated by Walter H. Everett. Bound in full olive cloth with gold spine and cover lettering. The cover design, which is unsigned, is a three-panel composition with a repeat pattern of pine trees in the central rectangle. The spine ornament is similar. These elements may be the work of The Decorative Designers, although the lettering is not typical of their alphabets. A sequel to Thwing's earlier novel depicting life among the lumberjacks, The Red-Keggers.
